FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I register?

Registration is completed online through our website. Simply select the desired program, complete the required information, and submit payment to secure your spot.

  • Experience needed? Yes

Yes, it helps to have some playing experience in some organized fashion like rec league, comp ball, high school, college, or even adult softball.  We can and do accept limited experience players but this is not a novice league.

  • How often do you practice?

Short answer, no.   Practices are not required and not scheduled.  The KCABA does not furnish any practice times or fields to practice.  However, each team can arrange for their own practices at indoor facilities or arrange for their own practice field at their own expense.  Some teams practice prior to the season but once in season, teams typically just play games.

  • What is included in the registration fee?

    Player Fees:

Player fees vary from league to league based on number of games, fields, and playoff structure.  Fees pay for: fields, lights, baseballs, insurance, NABA player dues, league administration, and  scheduling.

    Umpire Fees:

Umpire fees are collected by your team manager and paid to the umpires prior to each game.  The league does not collect umpire fees.

Uniforms are not included in your player registration.  Each team has their own set of uniforms and cost varies per team.  You will pay your manager directly for your uniform.

    Equipment:

You must provide your own equipment; i.e. helmets, bats, bases, gloves etc.  The KCABA provides game baseballs to the manager prior to the season and is part of your player fee.

  • What is your refund or cancellation policy?

Refund policies vary by program and are outlined during registration. In general, refunds may be available before the season begins, minus any administrative or processing fees.
